ABOUT US
Arts Education Nebraskans for the Arts is a member of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, and is dedicated to the advancement of learning in and through the arts. We offer award programs such as our Nebraska School Board of Arts Award and our Spotlight on Student Achievement in the Arts. NFTA also creates and maintains professional development opportunities for arts teachers and facilitates relationships with arts educators service organizations.
Resources and Information Nebraskans for the Arts is a resource for information pertinent to the arts and arts education fields. As a member of Americans for the Arts, we have access to a variety of resources at the national level. Our website and Facebook page provide relevant information regarding public funding for the arts, including reports in local, regional and national legislative activities and other topics of interest.
Advocacy Nebraskans for the Arts develops tool kits for talking to elected officials as well as informational packets about the arts in Nebraska for distribution to policymakers. We maintain a network of "Regional Captains" who activate grassroots advocacy efforts when necessary. The advocacy branch of NFTA is responsible for keeping tabs on arts-related legislative activity on the local, state, and federal levels and overseeing any Action Alerts that are sent to the membership.
