Make your voice heard - help stop the elimination of these important arts programs in our state.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is taking steps to reduce their budget due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of these reductions, the following academic programs have been proposed to be phase out:
- The elimination of the undergraduate Dance Program within the Glenn Korff School of Music.
- The elimination of the Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design within the College of Education and Human Sciences.
The university's Academic Planning Committee will hold hearings to gather additional information on the programs. These budget hearings will be held virtually via Zoom and are open to anyone - faculty, staff, students, alumni and the general public.
You have an opportunity to participate in this process in person or by written response.
