Each year, arts advocates, organization leaders, and patrons from across the state come together to speak with our Nebraska legislators about the importance of supporting the arts and arts education.
The event typically involves briefings on state and federal policies that impact the arts, advocacy training, networking opportunities, and other professional development sessions. Attendees are also connected with their State Senators, so they can voice their support for any arts-related legislation in the Nebraska Legislature.
The 2021 Nebraska Arts Advocacy Day was held on Wednesday, February 17th via Zoom. Below are highlights from the 2020 event at the Nebraska State Capitol.
